Yorgen Carboo

Yorgen Carboo is an accomplished mining engineer with extensive experience in various engineering roles within the mining industry. Currently serving as Chief Planning Engineer at AngloGold Ashanti since May 2022, Yorgen has previously held positions such as Senior Underground Engineer at Newmont Corporation and Strategic Mine Planning Engineer at Kinross Gold Corporation. Yorgen's expertise includes underground feasibility studies, mine design, project scheduling, and financial modeling, along with a strong foundation in drilling and blast design and data management. Yorgen holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Coventry University and a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa.
