Alex Theus has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Alex began their career as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Student at the Advanced Cognitive Engineering Lab at Carleton University, where they conducted experiments and analyzed data related to long-term memory and perception. Alongside their studies, they worked as a Freelance Content Writer, creating health and medical articles for various websites.
Alex then transitioned into the field of market research, joining Phoenix SPI as a Research Analyst. In this role, they managed multiple research projects, customized analysis for clients, and maintained strong client relationships. Alex later moved on to Maru/Matchbox, where they held positions as Research Manager, Senior Research Manager, and Research Director. In these roles, they led both quantitative and qualitative research engagements, worked closely with clients to design research projects, and delivered actionable findings.
Most recently, Alex joined Angus Reid as Director and later Vice President of Advisory Services. In these roles, they continue to utilize their research expertise to provide advisory services to clients.
Throughout their career, Alex has demonstrated strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within specified timelines and budgetary constraints.
Alex Theus has a Master's Degree in Psychology from Carleton University, completed in 2011. Following that, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Marketing Research and Business Intelligence from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, graduating in 2014. Prior to their Master's Degree, Alex completed a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Carleton University in 2007.
