Hedvig Astrom

Hedvig Astrom has extensive experience in the advertising and creative industry. Hedvig is currently working as the Creative Director at Animal since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance ACD / Senior Art Director since 2018 and as a Creative at Arts & Letters Creative Co. from May 2019 to May 2020.

Before their freelance work, Hedvig held the position of Senior Art Director at Barton F. Graf from April 2017 to December 2017. At Barton F. Graf, they collaborated with graffiti artists to create a VR street art gallery and exhibited art made from Bulleit whiskey bottles at Art Basel Miami. Their clients included Supercell, Ketel One, and Bulleit Frontier Whiskey.

Hedvig also worked as a Senior Art Director at DDB from October 2015 to April 2017. Hedvig gained experience in producing global TV commercials and worked with brands such as Cotton, Pepsi, and Lipton.

Hedvig started their career as a Creative at Mother in May 2012 and worked on various projects including launching a furniture collection by Lenny Kravitz. Hedvig also worked at Mother as a Creative Intern from September 2011 to December 2011.

Hedvig had the opportunity to work across multiple creative fields as a Freelance Art Director from March 2013 to February 2014. Hedvig designed clothes for Leila Shams at New York Fashion Week during this time.

Additionally, they gained experience as a Creative Intern at LBi US from April 2012 to June 2012, and at Saatchi & Saatchi and DDB Stockholm from September 2011 to December 2011.

Hedvig Astrom's education history starts in 2009 when they attended Folkuniversitetet to study clothing design. In 2009, they also enrolled at Berghs School of Communication, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Advertising until 2010. During the same year, Hedvig Astrom also studied at the Academy of Art University, specializing in advertising, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. From 2010 to 2012, they attended the Miami Ad School (M.AD School), focusing on Art Direction but did not earn a degree.
