Staff Attorney at Animal Legal Defense Fund

Kathleen Wood is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in animal welfare law. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney and Fellow at the Animal Legal Defense Fund since August 2017, Kathleen has previously held the position of Criminal Justice Program Summer Clerk at the same organization, where responsibilities included reviewing cruelty reports, liaising with law enforcement, and drafting legal documentation. Kathleen's commitment to animal welfare began with a Summer Internship at the Animal Welfare Institute, focusing on research and public awareness regarding factory farming issues. Additionally, Kathleen gained valuable experience as a Special Education Instructional Assistant in the Irvine Unified School District. Kathleen holds a Juris Doctor degree from Notre Dame Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Art History from UCLA.
