Animal Welfare Association
AWA is a private, no-kill, 501(c)3 organization that does not receive federal, state, or county funding. We rely completely on donations. All of our animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, vaccinated, treated for worms and fleas, micro-chipped, and come with one free month of pet health insurance. (Insurance excludes rabbits and small animals). There are adoption and surrender fees required to fund and continue our life-saving work. AWA was founded in 1948 by a small group on individuals who wanted to address and help the problem of unwanted pets in our community. In our adoption program, we have dogs and puppies, cats and kittens, rabbits, and small animals. Call 856-424-2288 or email us at info@awanj.org for more information. AWA has received the honor of receiving a FOUR-STAR rating for two consecutive years on CharityNavigator.org, the leading authority on comparing and determining charity fiscal responsibility.
