Catherine Torphy is the Content Marketing Manager at Animalz. Catherine has over 8 years of experience in content marketing, strategic copywriting, and editorial management.

Previously, they were a Senior Writer/Editor at National Geographic Partners where they developed original marketing content for ten unique product lines within the National Geographic Expeditions travel portfolio, including three websites. Catherine ensured brand standards, style, and messaging while creating compelling copy for a deadline-driven production schedule of email, direct mail, web, social, and video.

• Developing strategic copy, content, and other assets for direct mail, email, web, and social channels to support business growth while ensuring National Geographic brand standards.

• Managing the editorial process end-to-end, including assigning and overseeing junior writers, facilitating fact-checking and internal reviews, and ensuring timely delivery.

• Contributing creative strategies and assets to new product launches and other business initiatives.

• Serving as co-lead editor for major print pieces (20+ in FY19) utilizing a digital proofing platform.

• Developing content for editorial outlets and crafting print ads for publication in National Geographic and National Geographic Traveler magazines.

• Editing press released, internal communications, and customer-facing documents.

• Creating and curating content for digital content hub including editorial pieces and expert Q&As.
