Paul Halliwell has extensive experience in retail management and merchandise, currently serving as the General Manager - Merchandise at Animates Vetcare NZ since November 2021. Previously, Paul held various roles at The Warehouse Ltd from November 2016 to September 2021, including General Manager-Trading and Buying Manager, where responsibilities included planning grocery category strategies and leading buying teams. With a robust background at Aldi UK from August 1998 to September 2016 as Trading Director, Paul managed the commercial trading strategy for over 80 supermarkets, and also worked as an Area Manager. Earlier in Paul's career, management experience was gained as a Store Manager at C&A from September 1990 to August 1998. Paul holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Managerial & Administrative Science from Aston University, completed in 1990.
