Alex Ponder

Alex Ponder has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Computer Network Technologist at the Solid State Lighting and Energy Center until 2008. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Technical Support Representative at LaCie. In 2011, they joined Extensis as a Corporate Technical Support Specialist and later transitioned to roles as a QA Engineer, DevOps QA Engineer, and finally a DevOps Engineer, where they worked until 2018. In 2018, Alex joined Anitian as a Security Operations Developer and later held positions as a DevOps Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, and currently serves as a Senior Software Engineer.

Alex Ponder obtained a Bachelor's degree from UC Santa Barbara, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Alex also holds various certifications, including the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals obtained in September 2020, the AWS Certified Security - Specialty obtained in January 2020, and the AWS Certified Developer - Associate obtained in November 2016. Additionally, they have obtained multiple certifications in various programming languages and technologies from LinkedIn, such as Elasticsearch Essential Training, Learning Vue.js, Python Basics for Java Developers, React: Testing and Debugging, Learning Functional Programming with JavaScript, Programming Foundations: Design Patterns, Docker for Java Developers, Learning Redis, React.js Essential Training, Learning ECMAScript 6, and Reactive Java 9, all obtained in 2018.
