Emily Cummins

Emily Cummins, CISSP, CCSP, has a diverse work experience in the field of security and compliance services. Emily is currently the Director of Security and Compliance Services at Anitian since October 2019.

Prior to that, Emily worked at Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, where they held various roles. From August 2017 to October 2019, they served as a Principal Security Consultant, specializing in cloud security architecture and FedRAMP consulting. Their responsibilities included acting as an escalation point of contact for complex technical or project issues and liaising with the FedRAMP Project Management Office and Joint Authorization Board.

Before their role as Principal Security Consultant, Emily was a Senior Security Consultant from July 2016 to August 2017 and a Security Consultant from December 2014 to July 2016 at Kratos.

Emily's earliest work experience in the field was as a Security System Design Engineer at Philips from March 2013 to December 2014.

Emily Cummins, CISSP, CCSP received their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Security and Forensics from Rochester Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their degree, Emily has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Emily obtained the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in December 2016 and the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification from (ISC)² in November 2017. Emily also holds the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which they obtained in May 2020. Most recently, Emily obtained a certification in Business Strategy and Financial Performance from INSEAD in December 2021.
