Zimin Ding

Zimin Ding has a long history of work experience. Starting in 1991, Ding was a Research Associate at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, where they worked on the neural-substrate of motor control, learning and cognition, as well as computational models of neuronal-networks, machine learning and robotics. In 1996, Ding moved to Philips Semiconductors, Inc. as a Senior System-on-Chip (SoC) Architect. In 2002, Ding became the Chief Architect at Emosyn, LLC. In 2004, Ding was the Chief Architect at SST (NASDAQ: SSTI), now part of Microchip Technology Inc. Finally, in 2010, Ding became the President of Anitoa Systems, where they worked on CMOS bio-sensor for new generation of field portable nucleic-acid-test (NAT) instruments, and solutions for point-of-care molecular diagnostics of infectious diseases in developing countries and emerging economies.

Zimin Ding received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in ECE/Neuroscience from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1991 to 1996. Prior to that, they received their MS and BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from Tsinghua University from 1982 to 1989.
