Amber Sherwood

Amber Sherwood is an experienced educator currently serving as a 9th Grade Science Teacher at Ankeny Community School District since June 2023. Previously, Amber taught 6th Grade Science at Urbandale Community School District from June 2017 to June 2023 and at Des Moines Public Schools from June 2013 to June 2017. Amber began their career in education as a 3rd Grade Student Teacher at Lincoln School in Costa Rica in July 2011 and has also held a position as an Assistant Account Executive at Canyon Title Company, A Boston National Company, from August 2012 to August 2013. Amber holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Science from the University of Northern Iowa and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Science Education from the same institution, expected to be completed in May 2024.
