Jared Smith

Jared Smith is a General Partner at Ankona Capital. Jared has also served as a Founder, Advisor & Board Member at Startup & Growth Stages and as a Board Member at FreightPOP. Prior to their current role, Jared was with Avetta for 13 years 4 months where they served as a Board Member and in Product Strategy. Jared also was a Member of the Board of Directors at Sienna Biopharmaceuticals where they helped raise capital in Oct 2015 for a pivotal study and pre-commercialization. Jared's previous experience also includes an Internship at Monitor Group.

Jared Smith has a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in both Finance and Physics. From 1998 to 2005, they were actively involved in various activities and societies on campus, such as being a student chairperson for the Rollins eBusiness center and a teacher's assistant for Money, Banking & Finance (Managerial Economics 493). Jared was also a teacher's assistant for Physics 121, 122, and 123 (Newtonian, Electricity, and Magnetism).
