John Hays

John Hays currently serves as Managing Director at Ankura Consulting Group, where since September 2014, leadership has been provided for operations and client management in the VW “Clean Diesel” Emissions Litigation settlement program, overseeing a settlement involving approximately 550,000 claims. Prior to this role, John held positions as Senior Director, Director, and Senior Associate at the legacy firm ARPC, in addition to serving as an Associate Consultant - Contract Attorney. Previous experience includes a role as Law Clerk at The Pro Bono Project, where legal research and client interviews were conducted in both English and Spanish, and a legal internship at Friends of the Earth International focusing on environmental issues. John also ran a sole proprietorship from 2004 to 2011 that specialized in developing quantitative risk-adjusted strategies. Educational credentials include a JD in International Law and Legal Studies from Tulane University Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Spanish from Vanderbilt University.
