Michael Peters

Michael Peters is a seasoned expert in anti-financial crime and investigations, currently serving as Senior Managing Director at Ankura Consulting Germany GmbH since July 2021. Peters has also been a guest lecturer at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management since 2009, providing academic guidance and instructing on compliance topics. Prior to Ankura, Peters held the position of Partner at KPMG Deutschland and Deloitte Deutschland, where Michael led initiatives in corporate governance and anti-money laundering. Peters' extensive experience includes prior roles at Deutsche Bank and significant positions within the German Federal Criminal Police, including Deputy Head of the Financial Intelligence Unit. Peters holds a Diplom-Verwaltungswirt (FH) in Criminal Administration and is recognized as Kriminalhauptkommissar a.D. through training at the German Federal Criminal Police.
