An Nguyen

An Nguyen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. They began their career as a software developer at DTT in 2008. After completing their PHD in 2014, they worked as a postdoctoral researcher at The Babraham Institute, where they developed a computational method for predicting enzyme activities and created a bioinformatics tool for lipidomics analysis. In 2019, An joined Entrepreneur First as an LD12 Cohort Member, participating in a startup program and building their own company as the co-founder and CTO of ALIAN LTD. They designed and implemented machine learning algorithms for an AI platform solution for electricity companies. An also gained experience as a software engineer at GetCoin and as a senior software engineer at Evonetix Ltd, where they led algorithm development for a core DNA synthesis platform. They then worked as a software engineer at Geromics Ltd, contributing to the design and architecture of a blockchain-inspired genome data storage platform. Before joining their current role as a data engineer at Annalect, An was a back-end engineer at KidsLoop Co., Ltd. Overall, An Nguyen has a strong background in software engineering, bioinformatics, and machine learning.

An Nguyen has an extensive education history. They completed their PhD in Bioinformatics at the University of Southampton from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Information Technology from Federation University Australia, which they pursued from 2009 to 2010. An Nguyen also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, which they completed from 2002 to 2007.

They also received a Certificate of excellent student science researching competition from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology in 2006.
