Aravind Kumaresan

Aravind Kumaresan has a diverse work experience spanning over years. Aravind currently holds the position of Head of Engineering at Annalect, a role they started in February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Annalect as a Technical Leader from March 2022 to February 2023.

Before joining Annalect, Aravind served as the Chief Technical and ML/AI Advisor at Optimists, starting in June 2019. In this role, they provided strategic advice and support to the organization, leveraging ML/AI technologies to drive innovation and achieve business objectives.

From June 2019 to January 2022, Aravind worked as a Lead Software Engineer at M&GPrudential. Aravind'sresponsibilities included delivering innovative tools for the Investment Trade Dealing and Execution team and porting legacy applications to Azure cloud infrastructure.

Prior to M&GPrudential, Aravind worked at M&G as a Senior Software Engineer from October 2015 to January 2019. In this role, they collaborated with other developers and technical leads, participated in agile development, and played a key role in delivering business projects on time and within budget.

Aravind's previous experience includes working as a Senior Java Developer at UBS Investment Bank from October 2014 to October 2015, a Senior Analyst Developer at Financial Times from December 2010 to October 2014, a Software Engineer at Thomson Reuters from February 2008 to December 2010, and an Application Developer at Systems Seating Int Ltd from January 2005 to February 2008.

Aravind Kumaresan has a strong educational background in the field of technology and computer science. Aravind pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science at Adhiyamaan College of Engineering from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they continued their studies and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from Staffordshire University between 2004 and 2006.

Aravind's passion for education and research led him to pursue a doctoral degree. Currently, they are enrolled as a PhD student in the Technology program at the University of Vaasa, a journey that began in 2020 and is expected to conclude in 2024.

In addition to their formal education, Aravind also obtained a certification in Understanding Research Methods from Coursera in February 2018, demonstrating their commitment to enhancing their research skills and knowledge.
