Colton Cunov has a diverse range of work experience. Colton began their career as a Logistics Engineering Intern at Walmart in 2016. Colton then worked as a Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur.
In 2018, Colton joined Wipro Limited as a Big Data Site-Reliability Engineer, where they were recognized as a "Role Model" for their contributions to the data services side of Apple Maps. Colton worked on maintaining Kafka and Redis platforms and monitoring production data builds. During the same year, they also embarked on a personal journey as a Through Hiker on the Appalachian Trail, covering over 2000 miles.
Colton's next role was as an Independent Researcher at the Complexity Working Group in 2019, where they collaborated with industry researchers and applied for a DARPA grant. However, the funding application was unsuccessful.
In 2022, Colton worked as an MSc Thesis Intern at Adfenix, and later joined NEVS as a Simulation and Optimization Engineer.
Currently, Colton is a Solutions Engineer at Kognic, a role they started in 2023. Their responsibilities include building stable integrations and efficient data pipelines to maximize value for customers in the AD/ML field. Colton also serves as the first-line contact for clients' technical challenges.
Colton Cunov completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2017. After that, they went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Complex Adaptive Systems from Chalmers University of Technology. Colton started their MSc program in 2020 and is expected to finish in 2022.
