Cheng Fang has a long and varied work experience. In 2021, they were appointed as the Sr. VP of Research & Development at Annovis Bio, Inc., where they lead strategy and shapes protocols for ongoing product development. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Scientific Consultant/Business Development at Clarivate Analytics, where they supported top 20 pharmaceutical companies with knowledge management and data management solutions in North America. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as a Research Scientist at Boston University, where they were the research team leader and designed and supervised projects focused on molecular mechanisms of prion protein in Alzheimer's disease and human prion disease. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as a Scientist at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, where they led novel research in primary neuronal/cortical damage in multiple sclerosis models. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Research Fellow at OHSU, where they spearheaded projects focused on Huntington's disease and multiple sclerosis molecular mechanisms.

Cheng Fang received a PhD in biology/neuroscience from Penn State University, a Bachelor's Degree in Biopharmaceutics from Nanjing University, and attended high school affliated to Nanjing teaching university.
