Melissa Gaines

Senior Vice President, Clinical Operations at Annovis Bio

Melissa Gaines has over 25 years of work experience in the clinical research field. Melissa began their career in 1989 as a Counselor and Intensive Case Manager at Community Services Group. In 1995, they accepted a position as a Research Associate and Research Manager at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Center for the Behavioral Treatment of Schizophrenia. In 1999, they moved to George Washington University as a Clinical Research Coordinator. In 2000, they became a Clinical Scientist at Pfizer, Neurosciences Division. In 2002, they joined INC Research as a Clinical Research Associate, and was promoted to Clinical Team Lead and then Senior Clinical Team Lead. In 2010, they moved to ReSearch Pharmaceutical Services as a Clinical Research Manager. In 2011, they returned to INC Research as a Director of Clinical Operations. In 2015, they joined Worldwide Clinical Trials as a Senior Director of Clinical Operations Site Management. Finally, in 2022, they accepted a role as Vice President of Clinical Operations at Annovis Bio, Inc.

Melissa Gaines attended Millersville University of Pennsylvania from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
