Regional Director, Latin America/the Caribbean at Annual Investment Meeting

Astrid Chedid has a diverse work experience in various industries and positions. Astrid has worked as the Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Annual Investment Meeting since 2019. Prior to that, they held the position of General Director of Trade and Investment at the Government of the State of Mexico from 2014 to 2017. Astrid also worked as the Foreign Investment Director at the same government from 2012 to 2014. Astrid has also served as the Head of the Department Against Discrimination at the Human Rights Commission of the State of Mexico from 2009 to 2011. Furthermore, they worked as an International Business Law Frame Teacher at Tecnologico de Monterrey from 2008 to 2009, and as a College Program Fellow at Walt Disney World in 2004.

Astrid Chedid has a Master's Degree in International Law with a focus on Foreign Investment and International Trade from the Graduate School of Public Administration and Politics, Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey Campus Monterrey (2006-2007). Astrid also earned a Bachelor's Degree in International Business with a specialization in International Trade and International Commerce from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey / ITESM Campus Toluca (2001-2005). Astrid Chedid completed an Academic Exchange program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, studying International Economy and International Business (2003-2004). Lastly, they attended Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México for Law School from 2011 to 2017.
