Erik Willems

Erik Willems is an experienced software developer and IT leader with a strong background in journalism and data analysis. Currently serving as a Software Developer and Head of IT Development at ANP since December 2021, Erik previously co-founded LocalFocus.nl, a SaaS solution utilized by major Dutch news organizations for creating interactive graphics and maps. Erik's earlier roles include data journalist and developer at De Datajournalist, as well as editorial positions at Het Financieele Dagblad. Erik holds a Master of Science in Communication Sciences with a focus on Journalism from Ghent University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences from Utrecht University.
