Benjamin Raliski

Originally from Virginia, Ben received a dual B.S. in Chemistry and Neuroscience from the College of William and Mary, where he studied the immobilization of proteins through linkages to unnatural amino acids. Following a formative summer research experience in the Bay Area, Ben then moved across the country to complete his doctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley in the lab of Dr. Evan Miller, where he synthesized novel voltage sensitive dyes for neuronal imaging. After graduating from Berkeley, he continued working in the realm of fluorescent dyes as a Scientist at Biotium and gained valuable experience with developing novel life science reagents. Upon hearing about the exciting work being done at Ansa, Ben was motivated to bring his synthetic expertise to a new biological challenge and join the chemistry team at Ansa to help bring enzymatic DNA synthesis to market.
