Donald Ferguson

Donald Ferguson is an accomplished technologist and academic with extensive experience in software architecture and engineering. Currently serving as Ansys Fellow and Chief SW Architect at ANSYS, Inc., Ferguson leads the Cloud, Solutions, AI, and Developer Enablement Business Unit. Additionally, Ferguson holds a position as an Adjunct Professor of Professional Practice in Computer Science at Columbia University, where academic contributions continue since 2013. Previous roles include co-founder and CTO of SparqTV, and key leadership positions at Dell and CA Inc., including Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President. Ferguson's educational background includes a BA, MS, and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University, achieved between 1978 and 1989.
