Ganesan Hariharaputhiran

Ganesan Hariharaputhiran is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the field of software development and research. Currently serving as a Principal R&D Engineer at ANSYS, Inc. since April 2007, Ganesan has focused on unifying Hexa and Hybrid Meshing technologies through the Blocking Framework and integrating this framework into the SpaceClaim Design Environment. Previously, Ganesan held the position of Lead Software Developer, where significant contributions included the development of a multi-threaded parallelization technique for Hexa meshing. Earlier career roles encompass software development at ANSYS / ICEM CFD, where Ganesan developed critical functionalities for geometry operations and extrusion meshing tools, and a tenure at PTC India focused on application testing for the Granite Geometry Kernel Library. The career commenced at Fluent India, contributing to Gambit Meshing Software development. Ganesan holds an M.Tech in Applied Mechanics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a B.E in Mechanical Engineering from Govt. College of Engineering, Tirunelveli.
