Natasha Gardiner currently serves as a Senior Environmental Advisor at Antarctica New Zealand since September 2024, after previously working as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Canterbury from June 2020 to October 2024. Natasha has extensive experience in policy and environmental advising, having held roles at Antarctica New Zealand as both a Policy Advisor and Environmental Advisor between March 2019 and May 2024. Prior experience includes working as an International Recruitment Officer at Lincoln University New Zealand from November 2017 to October 2018, crew member at Dive! Tutukaka from November 2016 to April 2017, and as a Science Communicator & Environmental Sustainability Manager at Earth & Sky, Mt John Observatory from January 2016 to October 2016. Natasha's education includes a PhD in Antarctic Science and a Postgraduate Certificate in Antarctic studies from the University of Canterbury, as well as a Bachelor of Arts with double majors in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Otago. Additionally, Natasha is a certified Rescue Diver through PADI since 2014.
