Neil Mason

Neil Mason, P.E. is an experienced mechanical engineer currently serving as the Head of Mechanical Engineering at Antares since December 2023. Prior to this role, Neil Mason spent a decade at SpaceX, where positions included Principal Propulsion Engineer and Lead Propulsion Development Engineer, overseeing the development of the Merlin rocket engines and ensuring human-rated qualifications for multiple flights. Neil Mason also held roles as Senior Propulsion Development Engineer and Propulsion Analyst, focusing on critical structural and thermal analyses. A brief internship at Pratt Whitney Rocketdyne as a Propulsion Engineer preceded a robust educational background, culminating in a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.
