Sejal Patel

Sejal Patel is an accomplished medicinal chemist with extensive experience in leadership roles across several prominent organizations. Currently serving as Vice President and Project Leader at Antares Therapeutics since March 2025, Sejal previously held the position of Vice President of Chemistry at Scorpion Therapeutics from July 2021 to June 2025, following a successful tenure at the Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research from September 2007 to July 2021, where Sejal was an Associate Director and contributed to decision-making on project strategies. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Investigator at Novartis (NITD) from 2004 to 2007, focusing on multidisciplinary projects targeting dengue fever and tuberculosis. Sejal's career began as a Research Scientist at Kosan Biosciences and as an Undergraduate Student at UC Irvine. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Chemistry and Biology from UC Irvine.
