Dr. Kathy Bakhit

Dr. Kathy Bakhit currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Antelope Valley College since July 2023, while also holding a position as a University Lecturer at the University of California, Riverside since 2018, where the focus is on Higher Education Finance and Leadership. Previous roles include Dean of the School of Health Professions and Public Safety at College of the Canyons (2019-2023), Vice President of Instruction at Crafton Hills College (2017-2018), and Dean of the Social Sciences Division at Fullerton College (2015-2017). Dr. Bakhit has extensive experience in educational administration and curriculum development as Associate Dean at Glendale Community College and has taught various economics classes at Citrus College and Chaffey College. Additionally, experience as a Financial Advisor at Waddell & Reed and volunteer consulting for Habitat for Humanity demonstrates a diverse professional background. Dr. Bakhit earned an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne and holds both an MS and a BS in Economics from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
