Salvi Asefi Najafabady

Salvi Asefi-Najafabady, PhD, currently serves as the Associate Director for the Climate Practice Area at Anthesis Group, specializing in Climate Risk and TCFD since May 2023. Previously, Salvi worked at ERM: Environmental Resources Management from March 2020 to April 2023 as a Principal Consultant and Senior Climate Scientist, where contributions included leading the development of TCFD physical climate risk assessment frameworks. Salvi's academic background includes a Research Associate position at Penn State University and roles at the University of Virginia and NCAR, focusing on climate change impact assessments and climate model applications. Earlier experience includes roles at Arizona State University and the University of California, Los Angeles, where research focused on CO2 emissions and drought impacts on forests. Salvi obtained a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences from The University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2009.
