Josh Rector

Josh Rector has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Josh is currently working at Anthology Inc as a Principal IT Security Engineer, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the same company as a Senior Security Engineer from April 2018 to January 2022 and as a Senior Content Designer from December 2016 to April 2018.

Before joining Anthology Inc, Josh co-owned J&B Life Photography from January 2013 onwards. Josh also worked as a Technical Writer at Cyber Defense Solutions, LLC. from October 2015 to January 2017. Josh served as a Proposal Manager at ABM Industries from September 2014 to September 2015 and as a Proposal Manager/Writer at KAMMS Group from August 2013 to August 2014.

Josh's professional journey began as a Technical Writer at K2 Solutions, Inc. from April 2012 to August 2013. Josh gained valuable experience as an intern at the U.S. Secret Service from February 2009 to June 2009. Josh kickstarted their career as a Research/Lab Assistant at North Carolina State University from January 2008 to December 2008.

Josh Rector has a Master of Arts (MA) in Linguistics from North Carolina State University, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from the same university, completing their studies from 2003 to 2007. Before their university education, Josh attended Richmond Senior High School. In terms of additional certifications, they hold a Certified Information Security Management System 2022 Lead Auditor certification from Exemplar Global, Inc., which they obtained in December 2023. Josh also has certifications in Certified Information Security Management System Lead Auditor, Unconscious Bias, Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®), and Work Style Assessment for Auditors.
