Sandy Burns has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Starting in 1985, Sandy worked at IBM Global Services as a Staff Systems Engineer, where they coordinated technical implementation and marketing of a small business software and hardware package. Sandy then moved on to MFS/SouthBank in 1991, where they served as a Branch Manager/Staffing Director and successfully managed and staffed their first mortgage branch office in North Carolina. In 2006, Sandy joined Lockheed Martin as a Sr Corporate Recruiter, providing high volume recruiting support for various organizations. Finally, in 2010, they joined Anthology Inc as a Lead Recruiter, responsible for building effective teams and improving education outcomes globally.

Sandy Burns obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Technical Communications from Clarkson University, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in 2021.
