Selda Goktas

Selda Goktas is a skilled Development Scientist at Anthony Nolan since January 2020, specializing in laboratory support, troubleshooting, and the implementation of new techniques and technologies, particularly in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). Prior to this role, Selda served as a Clinical Laboratory Technician 2 at Illumina, contributing to the 100,000 Genome Project and performing DNA library preparations, real-time PCRs, and NGS instrument operations. Experience as a DNA Sequencing Scientist at Source BioScience involved managing Sanger sequencing processes and addressing technical issues. Selda also holds a Master’s degree in Human Molecular Genetics from Imperial College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics from the University of the West of England.
