Michael Villena

Michael Villena is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in managing and developing software solutions for environmental initiatives at Anthropocene Institute since October 2020. Previously, Michael held key roles at Broadcom Inc. and Symantec, contributing to mobile security product transitions and integrations. Michael began a career at Appthority, focusing on front-end development while collaborating with product and UX/UI teams. Additionally, Michael contributed to research in the Human Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, developing full-stack applications for academic projects. Michael holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
