Elyssa Koidin Schmier

Elyssa Koidin Schmier is the Michigan Regional Director at the Anti-Defamation League since September 2025, following a significant tenure at MomsRising.org where roles included Vice President of Government Relations and National Budget, as well as National Director for National Budget and Taxes. At MomsRising.org, Koidin Schmier built and led the government relations department for a one million member organization, engaging with Congressional leaders and crafting impactful policies on women's and children's issues, federal budgeting, and COVID-19 relief. Previous experience includes serving as Deputy Policy Director for the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, representing the organization on domestic issues, and legislative representation for ACORN, where engagement with Congress was fundamental. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Government from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Men's Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
