Anders Hammar has a diverse work experience in the consulting and software development field. Anders co-founded Antigo Consulting in 2014, where they focused on combining business and system change to improve change capacity for their clients. Prior to that, they served as a Committer and PMC member at The Apache Software Foundation beginning in 2012. In 2015, they became a Committer for MojoHaus. From 2010 to 2015, they were a Committer at The Codehaus. Anders also worked at Devoteam Sweden as a CTO from 2004 to 2014, and at Capgemini as a Consultant from 1999 to 2004.

Anders Hammar attended the KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the "Jenkins Engineer" certification from the Jenkins project in May 2016. Anders also has several certifications from SUN, including "Certified JBoss Developer," "SUN Certified Developer for the Java 2 Platform (SCJD)," "SUN Certified Enterprise Architect for the J2EE Platform (SCEA)," "SUN Certified Mobile Application Developer for the J2ME Platform (SMAD)," "SUN Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform (SCJP)," and "SUN Certified Web Component Developer for the J2EE Platform (SCWCD)."
