Dr. Jonathan Doerr

Dr. Jonathan Doerr is a seasoned entrepreneur and venture capital professional, currently serving as a Partner at Antler since March 2023, where the firm aims to invest $60 million in empowering founders across the MENAP region. Prior to this role, Dr. Doerr founded and led Smileneo, a pioneering health tech company in MENA focused on affordable clear aligner treatment, from November 2019 to February 2023. Their entrepreneurial journey includes co-founding Daraz, a prominent online marketplace in South Asia, and Jumia Nigeria, an extensive online platform across 13 African countries. Dr. Doerr's earlier experience includes strategic roles at Otto Group and founding WELLENMACHER, alongside academic contributions as a Scientific Assistant at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München. Dr. Doerr holds a PhD in Business Administration and various degrees from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Baruch College.
