Moritz Limpinsel has extensive work experience in the engineering field, beginning in 2006 with a Research & Development Internship at Shell Solar. In 2008, they became a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Wuerzburg, followed by a Researcher position at Siemens in 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they were an Engineering Project Manager for Team Orange County, U.S. DOE Solar Decathlon, and in 2015 they were a Consultant for Between Built & Natural Environments and a Co-Founder for SunHaus. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Manager of Device Development and a Development Engineer at Alta Devices, and then a Technical Lead for TPV Modules and a Director of Metrology at Antora Energy.
Moritz Limpinsel obtained a B.S. (Vordiplom) in Physics from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg in 2003-2005. Moritz then completed a DAAD Fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2006-2007. Following this, they obtained an M.S. (Dipl.-Ing.) in Nanotechnology from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg in 2005-2009. Finally, they completed a Ph.D. in Chemical and Materials Physics at UC Irvine in 2010-2015. Additionally, they have obtained Laser Alignment Training from Berkeley Lab in March 2020 and OSHA safety Training from California Osha.
