Michael Lounsbury holds the A.F. (Chip) Collins Chair and serves as Chair of the Strategy, Entrepreneurship & Management Department at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, while also being a Professor of Business Strategy & Entrepreneurship at The Australian National University. Lounsbury has been a Professor at the University of Alberta since July 2005 and previously held the role of Associate Dean of Research from 2011 to 2016. Lounsbury's experience includes serving as a Principal Investigator at the National Institute for Nanotechnology, a J. Thomas Clark Professor of Entrepreneurship and Personal Enterprise at Cornell University, and working in various marketing roles at World Cup USA 94, NRC, and Deloitte. Lounsbury earned a Ph.D. in Sociology and Management from Northwestern University and holds a BA in Economics with Honors from Middlebury College.
