Rafael Ayala Lopez has worked in the professional field since 2007. Rafael began their career as an Indemnity Adjuster at FREESE & GIANELLI, INC. in 2007. In 2013, they moved to Sierra Vista Child & Family Services as a Clinician. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Customer Experience Team Lead at HotelTonight. Most recently, in 2018, they became the Chief Operating Officer at Anyplace, a marketplace that allows people to secure flexible-term furnished housing rentals.

Rafael Ayala Lopez has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University, Stanislaus, which they obtained in 2012. Rafael then went on to receive a Master of Science in Psychology from the same institution in 2017. In 2019, they obtained a Board Certified Coach from The Institute for Life Coach Training.
