Amber Tormey

Amber Tormey has extensive work experience in product design and user experience. Amber is currently working as a Senior Product Designer at AnyRoad, starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Fluxx from February 2019 to November 2021 as a Product Designer, responsible for enhancing the grantmaking process and improving social impact measurement for foundations and nonprofits.

From February 2018 to February 2019, Amber worked at Radius Agent as a Product Designer, where they led the redesign of their product and guided product decisions through user research. Before that, they worked at EvoShare as a Marketing + Visual Designer from October 2016 to February 2018.

Amber also has experience working as a freelance UX Designer, having developed user experience design solutions for a nonprofit client in August 2016. Additionally, they interned at AnyRoad in August 2016, assisting in the development of design projects across mobile and desktop interfaces.

Amber further benefited from a UX Design Mentorship with Whitney Hess, a User Experience Coach, from October 2015 to June 2016.

Earlier in their career, Amber held positions as a Legal Assistant at Phillips & Associates from October 2010 to December 2014. In this role, they closely worked with attorneys, managed cases, and maintained client relations. Amber also gained experience as a Special Event Coordinator & Digital Marketing Assistant at Fred Segal Santa Monica from January 2010 to February 2011, where they organized nonprofit events, managed social media accounts, and provided personal assistance to the shop owner.

Amber Tormey completed an Executive Program for Social Innovation Design at the University of Pennsylvania's Stuart Weitzman School of Design and School of Social Policy & Practice from 2020 to 2021. Prior to this, they attended Parsons School of Design - The New School where they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Graphic Design. Additionally, Amber has some educational background in Environmental Policy but the specific details regarding their attendance at Boston University are not provided.
