Iain Hassall

Iain Hassall is currently the CFO at Anyroad, Inc. Prior to this, they were the Chief Financial Officer at Astronomer from March 2021 to March 2022. Iain has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Algolia from October 2019 to February 2021, and Advisor at Guidebook Inc. from November 2014 to August 2019.

Iain Hassall has over 25 years of experience in finance, with a focus on software and Software as a Service (SaaS) companies. Iain began their career at KPMG LLP in 1995, where they spent 15 years as a senior manager in the audit practice. In this role, they gained extensive experience with venture-backed companies as well as publicly listed entities, particularly with respect to revenue recognition, debt and equity issues (stock-based compensation; equity financing transactions; and debt with equity attached) and business combinations. Iain also assisted companies with their successful filing of registration statements in accordance with SEC guidelines.

In 2010, Iain Hassall joined Zuora as VP Finance & Strategy. In this role, they were responsible for both finance and sales facing functions, including deal desk; contract strategy and structure; sales compensation; pricing and packaging; and sales operations. Iain left Zuora in 2019 to join Guidebook Inc. as an Advisor.

Iain Hassall completed a Bachelor of Commerce at UNSW, with a major in Accounting and Business Law and Taxation. Iain also attended The Scots College in Sydney, Australia.

Iain Hassall reports to Jonathan Yaffe, Co-Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Leah Shough - Head of Legal, Ryan Whitney - Chief Sales Officer, and Iris Hermelin - VP, People.
