Karina Teslenko

Karina Teslenko has a diverse work experience. In 2017, they were an Apprentice at the ACE Mentor Program of Greater NY, where they learned about architectural and structural concepts and collaborated with other mentees and mentors to redesign Grand Central Terminal of New York City. In 2016, they worked as a Studio Art Assistant for Priscila de Carvalho. In 2020, they became an Affiliate at The Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University. In 2021, they worked as an Ecommerce Business Owner at eBay, where they executed analysis of current retail trends, sourcing, and marketing to increase sales by 30%. Karina also negotiated buy price from warehouses reducing it by 10%. In 2022, they became an Intern at Urban Craftsman, where they assisted the founder in the purchase and sale of 9 residential real estate properties and lots. Karina also strengthened management of business operations to accelerate closing of land deals. Additionally, they became a Co-Owner and Operations Manager at Anytime Mailbox, where they opened a third office in South Beach, Miami bringing 43 new customers within two months of operation. Karina also reduced opening costs by 30% by finding alternative manufacturers of equipment and managed daily operations of Eighth Street office by training and leading 2 employees.

Karina Teslenko began their educational career in 2015 when they attended Brooklyn High School of The Arts and obtained a Visual Art degree. From 2016 to 2019, they attended Pratt Institute to study Fine Arts. In 2019, Karina enrolled in Rice University to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture - BArch in Architecture, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
