Shayne Elliott

Shayne Elliott is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ANZ, a position he was appointed to on 1 January 2016. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Shayne was Chief Financial Officer of ANZ, having held that position since June 2012. In that role, Shayne was responsible for all aspects of Finance as well as Legal, Treasury and Investor Relations, as well as having responsibility for Group Strategy and Mergers and Acquisitions. Shayne joined ANZ (and the ANZ New Zealand Board) in June 2009 as the Chief Executive Officer, Institutional, overseeing all businesses that deal with ANZ's large business, corporate and institutional customers. Previously, Shayne was Head of Business Development at EFG Hermes, the largest investment bank in the Middle East, and spent more than 20 years at Citigroup.
