Carl Garrett

Carl Garrett is an experienced professional in the financial services sector, currently serving as the Global Head of Cross Border Payments at ANZ from May 2019 to September 2024. In this role, Carl leads the Cross Border Products team, focusing on assisting customers in managing their money on a global scale, with particular emphasis on AUD and NZD Clearing Services for offshore institutions. Previously, Carl established and directed the Payments Centre of Excellence at ANZ, transforming a Financial Crime Transformation project into a high-performing central team to enhance the delivery of cross-border products. Earlier in the career at ANZ, Carl held the position of Director of Financial Institutions Sales, driving significant growth in the Clearing Services business in New Zealand. Carl holds a First Class Honours Bachelor's degree in Science with a focus on Mathematics from Victoria University of Wellington, where studies were completed between January 2009 and January 2012.
