Sandra Burns

Sandra Burns is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in financial crime transformation and audit leadership at ANZ since January 2005. Currently serving as the Head of Financial Crime Transformation for the Australia Retail and Commercial Divisions, Sandra oversees the execution of a multi-year financial crime transformation program and the Know Your Customer onboarding function. Previous roles include General Manager Audit across various divisions at ANZ, where Sandra led teams responsible for the quality and execution of audits and the development of internal audit plans across multiple regions. Prior to ANZ, Sandra held positions at Deloitte Australia and PwC, focusing on internal audit services for public sector entities and listed manufacturing companies. Sandra holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Melbourne and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
