Dominic Christian

Dominic Christian serves as global chairman of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business. Prior to his current roles, Christian served in various senior leadership positions at Aon, including chief executive officer of Aon UK, co-chief executive officer of Aon Benfield, Group Board Director of Benfield Group plc, chief executive officer of its International Division and chief executive officer of Benfield Limited.

Christian began his career in the mid-1980s at specialist broker JK Buckenham. He went on to join broker Greig Fester in 1989 and became a director in 1994.

He is a director of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, a director of The Bermuda Society and is Chairman of the Lloyd's Tercentenary Research Foundation. He is also a Common Councilman of the City of London, current Chair of ClimateWise and the Sainsbury’s Centre for Visual Arts. In 2014, Christian was elected as a member of the Council of Lloyd’s, and he now chairs the Inclusion@Lloyd's Group, which advocates for diversity and inclusion. He is also a former President of the Insurance Institute of London.

Christian holds an Honour’s Degree in History from the University of East Anglia and an Honorary Doctorate in Civil Law.
