Abhi Ghosh, Ph.D., E.I.T. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of research and development, with a focus on additive manufacturing and materials science. They have held various roles at different organizations, starting with their current position as a Research and Development Scientist at AON3D since May 2023. Prior to this, Abhi worked as a Visiting Scientist at the National Research Council Canada from September 2022 to April 2023.

Abhi also has experience as an Additive Manufacturing R&D Engineer at Precision ADM from April 2021 to April 2023. Before that, they served as a PhD Research Fellow at the P²[AM]² Lab at McGill University from September 2015 to April 2021. In this role, they worked on powder processing and additive manufacturing of advanced materials, with a focus on biomimetic surface engineering under the supervision of Professor Mathieu Brochu and Anne-Marie Kietzig.

Furthermore, Abhi has worked as a mentor at Freedom English Academy, FEA from September 2019 to August 2020. They have also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at McGill University from September 2013 to March 2015, where they conducted dynamic/impact indentation studies on Aluminum alloys and coatings. Additionally, they have served as a Summer Undergraduate Research in Engineering (SURE) Intern at McGill University in 2013, continuing their research on dynamic/impact indentation studies.

Abhi gained research experience as a Dean's Research Award - Research Assistant at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Alberta, in collaboration with AdvEn Solutions Inc., from September 2012 to April 2013. Their work involved designing processes for functionalizing and fabricating multi-layered carbon nanotube-LiMn2O4 electrode materials for batteries under the supervision of Dr. Xinwei Cui and Professor Weixing Chen.

In the summer of 2012, Abhi worked as a Summer Research Intern at BASF, and in 2011, they served as a Summer Research Assistant at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Alberta.

Overall, Abhi Ghosh has accumulated extensive research and development experience in additive manufacturing, materials science, and battery technology throughout their career.

Abhi Ghosh, Ph.D., E.I.T. has a strong educational background in Materials Engineering. Abhi first attended the University of Alberta from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Abhi then pursued further studies at McGill University, achieving a Master of Engineering (Thesis) in Materials Engineering from 2013 to 2015. Building upon their master's degree, Abhi continued at McGill University from 2015 to 2021 to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Engineering.

In addition to their academic degrees, Abhi Ghosh has also obtained certifications related to their field. In 2016, they completed the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training through OnlineWHMIS.ca™. In 2019, they obtained certificates in Hazardous Waste Management & Disposal for Laboratory from McGill University Environmental Health and Safety and Laser Safety Training from OnlineWHMIS.ca™ - Canada's Trusted and Recognized WHMIS Training.
