Derek Shillman

Derek Shillman is a Principal at Apax, where involvement in the Tech Team spans from July 2017 to the present. In addition to this role, Shillman serves as a Board Observer for multiple companies, including Zellis, Bonterra, and Paycor, with the latter involved in a significant acquisition by Paychex. Previous positions as a Board Observer include stints with Duck Creek Technologies, Verint, ECI Software Solutions, and Exact, all of which concluded with successful sales to prominent firms. Prior to joining Apax, Shillman worked as an Analyst at Evercore, focusing on Automotive and AutoTech M&A Advisory. Educational qualifications include an MBA from The Wharton School and a BBA from the University of Michigan.
