Gerard Reid is a highly experienced professional in the field of process development and organic chemistry. Currently, as a Senior Process Development Scientist at APC since April 2019, Gerard leads technical projects, organizes process work, and utilizes Process Analytical Technology (PAT) for process understanding. Previous roles include Process Development Scientist 2, where responsibilities encompassed crystallization, reaction assessment, and solid-state analysis. Gerard's background includes serving as a Research Assistant at Trinity College Dublin, focusing on multi-step organic synthesis and the development of synthetic routes for various biochemical applications. Additionally, experience includes teaching advanced Maths and English at Kumon UK, and roles in clerical support and undergraduate research. Gerard holds a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry and a Bachelor's degree in Medicinal Chemistry, both from Trinity College Dublin.
