Donald Root

Donald Root currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Fellow at RADIO CLUB OF AMERICA INC since November 2019, and holds the position of Program Manager at APCO International, focusing on the Department of Homeland Security's P25 Compliance Assessment Program since September 2021. Previously, Donald Root was the Assistant Communications Systems Manager for the County of San Diego's Sheriff's Department, overseeing the Wireless Services Division and managing communications for approximately 50 agencies from February 2006 to July 2020. Prior experience includes roles at the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services, where Donald Root was the Interoperability Coordinator from 1994 to 2006, and as an Electronic Systems Technician at Lockheed California Company from 1980 to 1984. Education includes studies at California State University, Los Angeles Extension and Point Loma High School.
